Stephenson College

Get involved

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved at Stephenson, whether as part of the Junior Common Room (JCR) or Middle Common Room (MCR), as a member of a College sports team, as an event organiser, or in many of the other student activities.

College provides the platform to get involved and make the most of your time at University. As a postgraduate student you have the opportunity to get involved in events and activities organised by the Junior Common Room (JCR), Middle Common Room (MCR) and the Senior Common Room (SCR).

Whether you are interested in sports, drama, music or photography, there really is something for everyone. As well as clubs and societies, the University have over 200 societies that are registered with the Students Union which are open to all students.

The College and MCR host regular "Scholarly Talks". These allow postgraduate students to present and discuss their academic research and work. It's a supportive forum where ideas can be shared and advice and encouragement offered. It's a great opportunity to meet others from both similar and wider ranging disciplines.
