Module Registration

Module Registration is a two stage process which includes:

  • Selection of modules
  • Approval of modules

The first stage is to confirm your programme of study and choose your optional modules.

BA Programme Regulations can be found here:

Criminology
For 'Open' modules please ensure that you check that the module type (found at the top of each module outline) is displayed as 'Open'. It is also important that you consider any prerequisites or corequisites prior to making your option(s). Any Further details on the 'open' module system at Durham can be found here. The choice of open module(s) is entirey up to you, as long as it fits with your overarching timetable. You can check that it fits into your timetable through the module checker.

The second stage of the process is where Programme Directors/Administrators approve your choice of modules.

Once you have chosen your 'open' module(s) you can register, prior to your arrival at Durham, by logging into DUO and clicking on the "Banner Self Service" link. We strongly advise you to complete this step before arriving in Durham to allow the approval process to take place. However, should you have any concerns or queries regarding your options there will be an opportunity within the Induction Week to discuss this with departmental staff before making your final decision. For information module choices need to be made by 5pm on Tuesday 1st October 2019.

Further information on module registration can be found here.
