Welcome to the Department of Sociology

"Welcome to the Department of Sociology. In our rapidly changing global environment, there has never been a more important time to look at the world through a social lens and engage in theoretically driven research and teaching that makes a difference. I hope you have a great experience here, and take advantage of the opportunities offered as part of the wider student life as well as receiving a world class education. You will leave Durham University with the knowledge and critical thinking skills to make a real impact on the world."
