The Durham Research Methods Centre (DRMC) has launched its first Picturing Research competition this year. We are proud to announce that we have received a good number of applications for our first edition.

The Christine Merrell Annual Methods Lecture 2022-23

DRMC's annual methods lecture, in honour and memory of Professor Christine Merrell will take place on Thursday 4th May 2023 at 3pm. The lecture is titled 'Complexity Perspectives on Causality & Evidence' by Dr Lasse Gerrits.

DRMC Bulletin Michaelmas Term 2022

In jointly funded work by the Research Methods Centre and the Institute for Data Science, Catherine Marley, the DRMC funded PhD student, and supervisors have produced this paper.

Using Genomic Prediction to Detect Microevolutionary Change of a Quantitative Trait

Detecting microevolutionary responses to natural selection by observing temporal changes in individual breeding values is challenging. Our Statistician, Bilal Ashraf has recently been involved in producing this interesting paper.

In collaboration with the University’s Advanced Research Computing, Durham RIOTs, and the Research Data Management Teams, we’re running a half-day ReproHack event on Thursday 19th May 2022, 9.30am-2.30pm.
