About Us

The International Network for Music Theology was established in 2009 to:

  • Create an international organization with the capacity to attract large-scale funding from private and public funding bodies in the UK, Europe, America and elsewhere internationally.
  • Provide an international centre unifying musicological and theological work carried out within academic universities, institutions, and other public and relevant private organisations.
  • Produce a Handbook for Music and Christian Theology.
  • Present conferences, seminars, reading groups and lecture series in support of international and national interests in Music and Theology.
  • Identify and develop new methodological frameworks for Music Theology.
  • Initiate and facilitate research that will sustain and expand the growing field of Music Theology.
