About Durham Geochemistry Centre

Our aim is to play a leading role in developing innovative techniques for isotope and elemental tracing in Earth, Environmental, Physical, Archaeological, Biological and Biomedical sciences.

We seek to apply those techniques in partnership with industry, research councils, and government to undertake internationally excellent and world leading research in Geochemistry. Within this framework, the training and professional development of young scientists is a key priority of the Durham Geochemistry Group.

Key priorities

Within this framework, the training and professional development of young scientists is a key priority of the Durham Geochemistry Group. While young researchers sometimes work on very different aspects of geochemistry, from field and experimental studies to theory and modelling, these are brought together with a comprehensive training programme that provides a common grounding in both theory and technique.

We are always interested in hearing from individuals with a strong science background who may wish to join us as Research Fellows, Postdoctoral Researchers or Graduate Students.
