
Dr Ruben Davtyan
Ruben is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the department of Archaeology at Durham University and works on the project “Emergency Assessment of Threats to Heritage in Nagorno-Karabakh”. His primary role is to establish a baseline dataset for heritage in Nagorno-Karabakh, to identify and document damage and analyse the resulting data trends and patterns.
Ruben accomplished his PhD thesis on burial rites in Iron Age Armenia at the Martin-Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (https://www.eth.mpg.de/4628803/current-project) and published papers on art history, contextual analysis and landscape archaeology in Caucasus (https://orcid.org/0000-0002-0464-161X).
