(28 November 2018)

Unfortunately we will have to postpone the meeting on Brexit planned for Tuesday 4 December because the five-days of Commons debates on the Brexit deal will now begin on 4 December and continue until the vote on 11 December.

This unexpected timing clash creates major practical difficulties in arranging then the type of all-Party meeting we’d hoped to hold, and will curtail MPs’ availability to attend a P&SC meeting. It is also now too late to arrange a discussion meeting on 4 December on another topic.

I appreciate this is disappointing and regret any inconvenience it may cause.

The Brexit meeting will now take place on Monday 21 January 5.30pm in the Boothroyd Room, Portcullis House. I will ask Karen to e mail the Meeting Notice to you in due course.
