Our short courses enable you to access Durham University’s world-leading knowledge to enhance and update the professional skills of yourself or your organisation, in a flexible way.
We offer business language training courses face-to-face or online in Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), German, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish among others, from Beginners level upwards.
DISC offers training sessions for NHS trusts, organisations, and individuals in private practice on SIDS and infant sleep safety; and normal infant sleep and parent support.
Drawing on its inter-disciplinary network of experts, DGSI offers training in the areas of conflict prevention, humanitarian intervention and post-conflict stabilisation and peacebuilding.
IBRU runs regular training workshops on practical aspects of boundary-making and dispute resolution, including maritime boundary delimitation, negotiating international boundaries, and geographic information in boundary-making.
Many of our specialist scientific facilities offer hands-on training on the equipment they use, or techniques in which they have expertise.
Student Wellbeing and Support:
Workshops on sexual violence and misconduct in a higher education setting focus on the initial response and subsequent investigations.
