My PhD focuses on the cognitive and neuroscientific mechanisms underlying auditory verbal hallucinations (AVHs) and inner speech. I am interested in the uses of noninvasive brain stimulation, such as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), and how these techniques can be used to help us study auditory perception and self-monitoring. I am also interested in the potential of these techniques as treatment options for neurological or psychiatric disorders.
