+I have some resit exams in August. Will my lecturers be available over the summer to answer my queries during my revision?

The period between the end of Easter Term and the resit exams is not part of the undergraduate core teaching year for full-time programmes, which runs from October to June. The summer period is therefore often a time when members of academic staff take periods of annual leave and, particularly in a research-intensive institution, spend focussed periods of time on research and scholarly activity. Therefore we cannot guarantee that every lecturer will be available for the whole of the period leading up to the August exams, but most will be available for at least part of this time and are generally happy to try to help students who contact them with queries about the course.

For any physics module with an August exam, the lecturers will put information on duo at the end of Easter Term, detailing any significant periods over the summer during which they expect be unable to respond to queries.

If you have emailed your lecturer and have received no response after a reasonable time (a few days) then please contact physics.office@durham.ac.uk .
