I submitted a Serious Adverse Circumstances Form but it seems to have had no effect. Why?
Submitting a Serious Adverse Circumstances (SAC) form does not allow the Board of Examiners (BoE) to alter your marks. Nor is it guaranteed to change any outcomes. Guidance on submitting SAC forms, and an indication of the types of 'discretion' that the BoE can exercise, are given in the notes that accompany the SAC form.
There is no process by which departments routinely write to students regarding their SAC submissions.
