Can I get access to my marked exam scripts to see where I went wrong?
In a word, no. Summatively assessed work cannot be disclosed as part of a Subject Access Request (for which there is a charge) under the Data Protection Act. So any information you record as part of an examination or summative assessment is exempt from subject access once you have submitted it. This includes answers to questions and supporting documentation but does not include any comments from examiners recorded on your work. So we can give you copies of your exam scripts as part of an Access Request, but the copies would have all your writing blanked out, so this would probably be of little use to you. If you are considering submitting a Subject Access Request then it is strongly recommended that you first have a discussion with the Teaching Administrator - students have previously found this helpful.
