Pete Edwards nominated as a TED-Ed Educator

We have worked with those nice people at TED to create a TED-Ed Original lesson.

'What light can teach us about the universe' can be viewed on the TED-Ed website or YouTube Channel.

Welcome to the web pages of the outreach programme of the Ogden Centre for Fundamental Physics at Durham University. The aim of the programme is to use the science that we do in the North East to engage and enthuse school children and the wider community and stimulate their interest.

Our primary target is school children and their teachers and the focus is on exploring what makes our Universe tick; from the basic building blocks that make up everything around us, via planets and stars, to the largest structures in the cosmos.

These pages describe the programme and outline some of the activities we undertake and can offer.
