The psychology behind climate change disavowal.

This lecture addresses our feelings about the rising instability we see in two different climates: the physical and the social. It argues that the state of these climates is linked, and considers what sorts of caring frameworks are needed for a sustainable future. Sally Weintrobe, psychoanalyst, is a Fellow of the British Psychoanalytical Society and a founder member of the Climate Psychology Alliance. In 2012 she edited Engaging With Climate Change: Psychoanalytic and Interdisciplinary Perspectives (Palgrave). Everyone is welcome to attend and booking is not required.
