Public Lecture to be given by Zurbarán Fellow: Dr Luis Vives-Ferrándiz Sánchez

The Zurbarán Centre for Spanish and Latin American Art is delighted to welcome Dr Luis Vives-Ferrándiz Sánchez as Zurbarán Fellow. Dr Vives is lecturer in the History of Art and Visual Culture at the University of Valencia (Spain). His is an expert of Baroque and Neo-Baroque art and theory, with a special focus on the presence of the past in contemporary visual culture. Dr Vives-Ferrándiz Sánchez will stay at St Mary’s College and give his Zurbarán lecture, entitled The empire strikes back: Baroque art and Spanish contemporary culture, on 12th November at 5.30 pm at Kenworthy Hall at St Mary’s College.
