Professor Alexander Dolin [Akita International University, Japan] 'Prophets and Profits: The New Russian Book Market (A Glance from Japan)'

Professor Alexander Dolin is a writer and academic, who has lived since 1990 in Japan, specializing in Russian, Japanese and Comparative Literature. His academic books range from works on Walter Scott to Japanese Poetry, while, as a writer, he is best known under the pseudonym Igor Kurai, whose Iaponskie nochi [Japanese Nights] became a succès de scandale in 2005.
