Round Table Discussion: Intercultural education in Russia today: How school teachers help their pupils to look beyond the country's borders

1st November 2018, 16:00, ER157 (Elvet Riverside 1)

As part of the CrossLangDyn project's collaboration with Durham County Council, we are organising a round table discussion with a group of visiting teachers/educators from Kostroma, Russia.

This year's discussion, titled 'Intercultural education in Russia today: How school teachers help their pupils to look beyond the country's borders', will explore current needs, practices and perspectives of boosting cross-cultural awareness and international vision among Russian schoolchildren (with a particular focus on the recent Football World Cup championship as an example of a world-scale mega event with its potentiality for intercultural engagement).
