Professor Christopher Lloyd: Maupassant et Stevenson: destins parallèles

28th November 2007, 13:00, A56, Elvet Riverside I, Durham University

Professor Christopher Lloyd of French Department, Durham University will be giving a paper entitled 'Maupassant et Stevenson: destins parallèles' on 28 November 2007 as part of the Department of French Research Seminar Series.

Guy de Maupassant and Robert Louis Stevenson were exact contemporaries and shared many biographical and literary affinities; though few if any critics have attempted a sustained comparison between them. My talk will outline areas which deserve fuller study. In French, or English if preferred.
