Professor Keith Reader: Cultural Topography: New Growth Area?

Professor Keith Reader of the French Dept, Glasgow University [http://www.french.arts.gla.ac.uk/staff_pages/kreader/kr.html]will be giving a paper entitled 'Cultural Topography: New Growth Area?' on 14 November 2007 as part of the Modern Languages Seminar Series.

This paper will present Professor Reader's current research project on the history of the Bastille/Faubourg Saint-Antoine area of Paris, encompassing a variety of different types of text and seeking to interrogate the importance of place along with time and genre as a significant coordinate in defining work in French studies and other cognate areas.
