Italian Research Seminar: Professor Tiziana de Rogatis (Università per Stranieri di Siena) 'L'amore molesto di Elena Ferrante. Mito classico, riti di iniziazione e identità femminile'

The Italian speakers among you are warmly invited to a research seminar by Professor Tiziana de Rogatis (Università per Stranieri di Siena) on the contemporary novelist Elena Ferrante, entitled 'L'amore molesto di Elena Ferrante. Mito classico, riti di iniziazione e identità femminile'. Tiziana is currently visiting professor at MLAC under the Erasmus Exchange Programme. 

Tiziana de Rogatis is Associate Professor at the Università per Stranieri di Siena, Italy. She has worked extensively on Italian and European poetry, in particular on Eugenio Montale and T. S. Eliot. Publications include Montale e il classicimo moderno (Pisa: Iepi, 2002) and Mappe del tempo. Eugenio Montale e T. S. Eliot (Pisa: Pacini, 2013). She has also edited Montale's collection of poetry Le occasioni (Milan: Mondadori, 2011). Tiziana's more recent research project focuses on contemporary women's writing and the intersections between classical myth and feminine identity.
