Conference: 'Ambiguous Sexualities on the Eighteenth-Century Stage' organised by Dr Tom Wynn [Durham University]
This conference brings into dialogue specialists on French and English theatre (including the tragic, comic and lyric stages) to explore how political and social anxieties were examined, contained and released through the representation of ambiguous and queer sexualities on the eighteenth-century stage. Organised by the Phoenix research group, this event is generously supported by the MHRA and Durham University’s Centre for Visual Arts and Culture. All are welcome.
