Translation & Linguistics Research Group: Dr Emilia Inglesias Fernandez [Universidad de Granada] 'Introduction to Consecutive Interpreting: Note-taking or Not-taking?'

Dr Emilia Iglesias Fernández is a Senior Lecturer in Interpreting at the Universidad de Granada (Spain). She holds a PhD in Interpreting Training. She has published numerous important works in both Spanish and English on interpreter training. She has been involved in several state-funded research projects related to quality in interpreting, and is currently a member of two permanent research groups: Quality Assessment in Simultaneous Interpreting (ECIS: Evaluación de la calidad en interpretación simultánea) and Media Access through Translation (AMATRA: Accesibilidad a los medios a través de la traducción), where she studies the role of the nonverbal dimension of communication.
