Course contents

LFA classes are communication based and aim to promote active use of the language during lessons to make the most of contact time with a native speaker. In most classes, the 4 skills (Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking) are covered but the emphasis is on oral skills.

The following links lead to past or current programmes. They are intended only as an indication of the topics and grammar points usually covered at a given level. Teachers complement the textbook with their own materials and ideas, and the pace at which topics and grammar points are introduced may vary according to the level of the class. Moreover, If the programme available is from a previous year, there may be a change of textbook and the new forthcoming programme may have been revised.

If a language/level does not appear, it may be in the process of being updated or added. Please check again later and/or look at the Durham Campus page for the equivalent class.

Please look at the Durham Campus page for more detailed information on the LFA programme.
