Durham Law School

Student Testimonials

A photo of Aadhithya Anbahan“ My time spent at Durham University has been an invaluable asset in all of the endeavours I have pursued since my graduation in 2012. It was at Durham Law School that I was offered the opportunity to take Interscholastic Mooting as a final year module, enabling me to participate in the prestigious Philip C Jessup Moot court. I have since then, evidenced that experience and the skills it gave me at every interview I have undertaken to great success. Furthermore, having been introduced to Amicus during my undergraduate I went on to successfully apply for and complete a death row internship in Mississippi. I would not have been exposed to or encouraged to pursue any of these activities without the opportunities I was fortunate enough to gain at Durham. In addition to a stellar education, that many employers consider to be of the highest calibre, the assistance and support I received from lecturers and college staff alike has given me the requisite confidence and encouragement in order to attain my goals. An education from the University of Durham offers its graduates a uniquely enviable position at the forefront in terms of both academia and skill. I do not for a moment doubt that my current role as a Home Office Advocate or the Pupillage I am due to start later this year are in a large part due to the education and experience I received at Durham.”
