The project on Unacceptable Forms of Work: Global Dialogue/Local Innovation aims to address crucial issues that push citizens into insecure, dangerous or exploitative work. We are working with researchers and policy-makers across the globe to find the best approaches to labour regulation.
Some may be simply ideas. Others may already be in practice, somewhere in the world.
We have selected a number of themes that urgently need attention. For each of these global challenges, we are assessing how two different regions are addressing a given challenge. We hope to learn whether we can apply any of their thinking elsewhere, on a regional, national or international level.
Investigating regulation that could help eradicate unacceptable forms of work. An ESRC-funded study, in partnership with UN's International Labour Organization.
