Professor Shaun Pattinson appointed Deputy Chair of the Nuffield Council on Bioethics

Professor Shaun Pattinson, who has been on the Nuffield Council on Bioethics since 2015, has been appointed Deputy Chair of the Council and Chair of the Council’s Horizon Scanning Advisory Group. He was previously a member of the Council’s working group on non-invasive prenatal testing, which launched its report in the Speaker’s House, Palace of Westminster, in 2017.

The Nuffield Council on Bioethics

The Council is the UK’s leading bioethics committee. It was established in 1991 to examine and report on ethical issues in biology and medicine and is jointly funded by the Nuffield Foundation, the Wellcome Trust and the Medical Research Council.
