Law School student selected for 2012 Paralympics

Gemma Collis a student at Durham Law School was scouted for team GB while training for wheelchair basketball by a coach who saw her potential for fencing.
The 19 year old was spotted by GB fencing head coach shortly after beginning her studies at the School and has subsequently appeared for Great Britain at the Malchow Wheelchair Fencing World Cup.
She will continue to combine her sporting endeavours with her law degree thanks to the focus Durham has towards mixing sport with academia. Read the full story.
