Public Lecture: The Ultimate Fate of the Universe
What will be the ultimate fate of the Earth, Sun stars, and galaxies ? Put simply, what will be the fate of everything ? Our view of the answer to this question has changed over the last decade or so. Come and hear about the role played by Dark Matter and Dark Energy, and what will truly be the end of history.
This public lecture, intended for a wide-ranging audience, will be give by Martin Ward, Temple Chevallier Professor of Astronomy at Durham University. It is given as part of the Institute of Advanced Study's year-long focus on 'the Future'.
This lecture is free to attend and all are welcome (staff, students, and members of the public). Registration is not required but places are on a first come first served basis. For further details please contact the Institute.
