Abstract

Sadly, due to the covid-19 outbreak this lecture has been cancelled. We are sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment caused.

In this lecture, Dr Caroline Petit will give an overview of some of the relevant aspects in Galen’s oeuvre towards a study of environment and health in the Roman world. The seminar will touch on texts embracing epidemic diseases, famine, and other catastrophes.
