Time for Tea?
TIN Arts are a Durham City based arts organisation who regularly create exciting and dynamic outdoor interactive events across the North East of England as part of a wider agenda of engaging the public in the arts.
On Thursday 20 June 2013 there will be a temporary pop-up free ‘teahouse’ outside The Gala Theatre, Millennium Square, Durham inviting members of the public to meet and talk with ‘chatty facilitators’ around the theme of Time asking such questions as 'what was the best time of your life?' and 'is it possible to experience the passing of time?'. The event will be ‘open’ between the hours of 11:00am and 1.00pm.
The event is part of a larger programme of work entitled Is it time?, a multi-artform, multi-disciplinary project that involves academics, artists, cultural organisations, communities and the general public in a range of interactive activities, performances and events in County Durham between October 2012 and June 2013. The Is it time? project has been developed in partnership with three Durham University departments – Theology, English and Architecture - through the Institute of Advanced Study, and is led and managed by Projects Galore.
Attendees are more than welcome to drop in, however if you would prefer to book a specific time that best suits you, please email firstname.lastname@example.org, and place ‘<span >Time for tea?’ in the subject header and advise the time you would like to come along. Space will be kept for you at one of the tables with a ‘conversation’ lasting about 15 minutes.
