Do you wonder if your academic friends and colleagues are making up some of the terms they bandy about? Maybe they’re just bluffing! On 30th October 2012 in Kenworthy Hall (St. Mary's College) is your chance to find out. Staff and students are invited to attend the first Durham Bluff, an informal game hosted by the Institute of Advanced Study. The members of the two Bluff teams will offer three definitions to choice examples of disciplinary jargon and the opposing team will try to figure out which one is true. This event is free and open to all members of Durham University.
The event commences at 6.00pm prompt. Tea / coffee will be available from 5.30pm. Places are limited and therefore should be registered here or with the IAS (0191 334 2589). Please note car-parking is not available at St. Mary’s; other car parking facilities are available such as Elvet Hill car park (opposite Building 51 on the linked map).
