Flexible Working

In line with our HR Policy review programme, and as part of one of the People Strategy aims, we are delighted to introduce the new flexible working policies.

Alongside the launch of the revised Right to Request Flexible Working Policy we have also developed a new policy for Academic staff with teaching responsibilities, this policy enables Academic staff to request flexible working around teaching commitments, this is an annual request to enable both academic staff and the University to have a more planned approach to our timetabling and space utilisation.

The revised policies have simpler forms to complete for both the staff member as well as the manager considering the request, together as well as the additional ability to request temporary changes or trial periods of up to 12 months duration and subject to review.
