Leave and Absence Management System (LAMS)
An online system to record leave and absence in all departments was launched on 1 July 2009.
The system replaced the paper based system of Monthly Absence Returns compiled and sent to Salaries to calculate sick pay. The online system records and reports various types of leave and absence including sickness, emergency and research leave. It also provides information to help understand absence across the University and develop wellbeing policies to support our staff.
The online system saves time logging and submitting information. It gives you immediate, real-time access to leave and absence information for your department. This information is held securely with strict permissions to restrict access. All staff are able to view their own record and line managers are able to view the records for all their staff.
