Institutional Action Plan Consultation

Our Race Equality Charter Self-Assessment Team’s critical reflection of staff and student data brought to light various forms of racial issues and disparities across our University. We are now developing our 3-year institutional Race Equality Charter (REC) Action Plan, which offers a clear framework to enable us to systematically address the identified racial inequalities and to progress our ongoing anti-racism work. The Action Plan will be submitted to Advance HE, along with our application for a REC Bronze Award, in July 2021.

To achieve sustainable and long-term impact, we need the input and commitment of the whole University community. We therefore invite you, our staff and students, to take part in our REC Action Plan consultation events, led by the Vice-Chancellor and members of the REC Self-Assessment Team. These will be held on the following dates and time:

  1. Tuesday 29 September 2020 (3pm to 4pm)
  2. Thursday 29 October 2020 (2pm to 3pm)

Please note that both consultation meetings are open to ALL staff and students. If you would like to attend one of the consultation meetings, please register here.

The meetings will be held via Zoom. Once you have registered, please confirm the slot in your diary and we will provide you with the meeting details a few hours before the meeting starts.
