Women@DU is a new network that brings together staff from across Durham University who identify as female, in order to share experiences, opportunities and knowledge, offering mutual support and a networking space to discuss issues that are important to us.
We bring together both academic and professional service colleagues in an inclusive community, regardless of grade or role within the university.
This is a brand new initiative, launching in March 2019.
The network officially launched on Thursday 21st March, where we welcomed Vicky Jack as our external speaker.
Following this launch, we are hosting two separate workshops on the 18th July and 6th August 2019 to bring together female colleagues from across the University to discuss what they would like to see the network support in terms of activiteis, and this will be the basis for future planned activities.
To register for the 18th of July, please click here.
To register for the 06th August, please click here.
We will be advertising the launch event (and registration for this) in due course. Please keep an eye out for Dialogue!
If you have any questions regarding the network, please contact Jane Macnaughton (firstname.lastname@example.org) and Lorna Wilson (email@example.com).
The network is supported by a working group of colleagues from across the faculties and central services, both in academic and professional service roles.
