Registration

We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the CercleS 2024 conference.  We are presently reviewing abstracts and hope to notify authors by mid April, with a draft final programme available from late April 2024.

Registration options are as follows:

• Full 3-day conference attendance in person in Durham;
• Single 1-day rate to attend either Thursday 12^th September, Friday 13^th September or Saturday 14^th September 2024;
• Optional full-3-day conference rate to attend as a delegate on-line only;
• Optional single 1-day rate to attend as an on-line delegate only.

When registering for the full conference, delegates will be asked to confirm which days they will attend, simply to help the organisers plan catering.

The Early Bird rate will apply until 30^th June 2024, with conference registration closing on 27^th August 2024.

At the time of registration for the conference, delegates will also be invited to optionally register for:

• Conference dinner
• Social visit to Beamish Open Air Museum
• To book University accommodation at Collingwood College

Other hotel accommodation is also available as outlined on the website.  If delegates do not yet know which optional ‘extras’ they require, these can also be booked at a later date.

Conference Delegate Fees

In the past, CercleS has offered limited scholarships for attending the Conference. However, it was agreed that CercleS is in a position to extend the support to more members. At the Coordinating Committee meeting of 13 October 2023, it was agreed that CercleS would subsidise the registration fees of the XVIII CercleS Conference for all participants by €100 (£80) per person (this subsidy is already reflected in the fees for CercleS members indicated below). In doing so, CercleS hopes to encourage members to attend and participate in the conference by making the registration fee more affordable to all members.

*student rate is available to postgraduate students registered full- or part-time at a CercleS or AULC member institution and who are otherwise not employed full-time in a teaching role in a University.

** Durham University staff are welcome to attend the conference without charge.  However pre-registration is required.  Please register in accordance with your planned attendance to allow for catering.
