Sociology in Action: Student Photography Competition
Calling all Sociology Students!
Take part in our Student Photography Competition 2024!
Theme: Social Harm
DEADLINE Friday 19th April, 12noon.
Winner will receive a £50 voucher!
Five highest rated submissions will be printed and displayed in the Department of Sociology.
Students are encouraged to think about, and capture in a photo, the theme of social harm.
- What does this mean to you?
 - How is it manifested in society?
 - How is it challenged in society?
 
You are encouraged to interpret what social harm means in your own way.
The competition will be judged by a panel of Durham University staff.
The award will be made based on relevance to the theme social harm; artistic expression; creativity and originality; quality of image; emotion and impact.
Attend a workshop to learn more - including guidance about what makes a great photograph!
