Durham University is proud to announce that Professor H. Rosi Song, a leading expert in Hispanic Studies, will deliver a lecture titled “Writing Catalan Culinary Identity” at the University of Massachusetts Amherst on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 (5:30–7:00 PM, Student Union Ballroom).
Professor Song, principal investigator of the Durham-led RELISH project (Reframing European Gastronomy Legacy through Innovation, Sustainability, and Heritage), will explore how Catalan cuisine serves as a lens for cultural identity, education, and sustainability.
The lecture will be followed by a reception with Catalan tapas, cocktails, and mocktails, offering attendees a taste of Catalan culinary traditions. This event is free and open to the public.
