Congratulations to DEI Photography Competition Winners

On 29 September 2017 Durham Energy Institute held their 3rd Annual Research Symposium. As part of the programme a photography competition at their Annual Research Sympoisum. 26 Entries were received from students, staff and members of the pubic. The photographs were voted on by attendees to the symposium and prizes of £100, £50 and £25 were awarded for first, second and third prize respectively.
First prize went to Ana Rakonjac, Research Associate in the Department of Physics for her photograph of a hydroelectric dam taken near Clyde, New Zealand.
Second prize went to Michele Allan, Technician in the Department of Geography for her photograph of wind turbines at Redcar.
Third prize went to Tobias Hogg, Pupil at Durham Johnson Comprehensive School in Durham for his photograph of solar cells on a parking meter at the Sands in Durham.
