DEI Lunchtime Seminar: Presentation by Nuclear Institute

Mark Lyons (Nuclear Institute NE Branch Chairman) will give a presentation on current and future trends in the Nuclear Industry, including immediate hot topics.

Mark has a Nuclear Industry background in both Clean-Up and New Nuclear Build, including nuclear site licensed site management, nuclear waste management and decommissioning. His career began with Rolls-Royce with a number of business management positions with Rolls-Royce and MB Nuclear before forming his own consultancy business ERS Limited in 2003, where he was Managing Director. Studsvik AB acquired ERS Limited in June 2005 and he then became President of Studsvik UK Limited, from June 2005 through to July 2009.  Studsvik UK provides contracting services to the UK nuclear industry covering engineering, waste management and decommissioning. 

He is currently Managing Director of L2 Business Consulting Limited, who provide technical and strategic consulting services to the nuclear indutry, a position he has held since October 2009.

Mark is Chartered Radiation Protection Professional (CRadP), Member of Society of Radiological Protection (MSRP) and Member of Nuclear Institute. He has been the Regional Chairman for the North East Branch of the Nuclear Institute, since the branch was formed in 2003.
