DEI Seminar: Cross-Disciplinary Research Project: A case study

12th May 2010, 13:00 to 14:00, Calman Learning Centre, Room CLC 406, , Led by Professor P Taylor and Dr S Bell

The seminar will consist of a brief introduction to a recently established cross-disciplinary research project, Demand Side Management and Risk, covering the period from initial idea through funding to initiation.

The aim of the research is to identify a Demand Side Management strategy that can be technically implemented at reasonable cost and in a socially acceptable way but still have significant technical and economic impact on the design and operation of future electrical distribution networks in a low carbon economy.

We hope to use this example to stimulate discussion to identify potential similar cross-disciplinary projects on energy issues across the University.

Buffet lunch available from 12.45.

To register, please email by 7/5/2010, indicating any dietary requirements.
