Delivering a Low Carbon Energy Mix

Fiona Reilly will be speaking on the key challenges to the UK meeting its climate change objectives. She will discuss how Atlantic SuperConnection’s cable from Iceland to the UK, the SuperConnection, nuclear and intermittent sources such as wind and solar are all key to delivering this objective.

Fiona Reilly is an Energy & Infrastructure specialist with over 20 years of experience encompassing nuclear, oil & gas and thermal power. Fiona often advises on large-scale energy and infrastructure projects including the development, structuring, international regulatory development and compliance, licensing and financing. Fiona has a unique blend of skills from policy and regulatory expertise to deal structuring and financing through to project and asset management, claims and disputes.

As a world leading authority on nuclear power, with over 20 years’ experience in the industry, Fiona is recognised as an expert in the development and financing of nuclear projects by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and has served as a designated expert on the financing, development and structuring of nuclear projects at special meetings of the IAEA. Fiona has also advised on off-take arrangements, regulatory issues and operating and contracting strategies.

There will be a networking drinks reception immediately after the lecture at 7pm.
