NECEM Summer School: X-rays for Energy Materials

Newcastle University

The North East Centre for Energy Materials (NECEM) is pleased to announce its first summer school which dedicated to the use of x-rays in the understanding and development of energy materials.

This summer school, held at Newcastle University from Wednesday 5th to Friday 7th September is open to all, but PhD and post-doctoral researchers will be given preference.

It is available to all EPSRC eligible researchers free of charge.

The school includes experts speakers in both diffraction (Dr Mike Probert and Dr Mike Toney) and spectroscopy (Dr Sofia Diaz Morenoand Dr Ute Cappel).

The summer school also includes wider academic training in ‘How to publish your work’ from the editorial team of Energy & Environmental Science and'How energy materials researchers can feed into Parliament and how Parliament uses science research'delivered by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy select committee.

Networking and opportunities to showcase your research in flash presentation style will also be available.
