Porous media for sustainable processes

This talk is about the use of natural and synthetic zeolites such as clinoptilolite, type Y and type A, in several processes such a as ion exchange (cations and anions), soil amendments in mine tailings, and heterogeneous catalysis for biofuels production. The main advances of the Catalysts and Energy research group from the University of Nuevo León are described and summarised.

Dr. De Haro has completed his PhD in Chemical Engineering and Analytical Sciences at the University of Manchester in 2015, and he currently is full-time academic in the Faculty of Chemical Sciences in The University of Nuevo Leon in Monterrey, Mexico.
