Focusing energy on Parliament

20th February 2015, 10:00 to 15:00, Penthouse Suite, Collingwood College, Durham University, Durham

Each day Parliament is sitting, questions, debates and scrutiny committees hold the government to account on a huge range of issues. Find out how your work can play a part in this!

Registration is essential for this free workshop.

The training will cover:

  • The work of MPs and Members of the House of Lords
  • Communicating with parliamentarians
  • Select Committees
  • Questions and Debates
  • The work of All Party Parliamentary Groups
  • The work of the House of Commons and House of Lords Libraries
  • Avenues for communicating with parliamentarians
  • When to get in contact
  • How to present your work: Creating the right materials to get your work noticed

Representatives from Parliament will be attending the event to give their advice and insights first hand. This will also be an excellent networking opportunity for people in the energy sector who are interested in policy to meet and make links.
