Research Conversation with Maureen Dillon

2nd December 2014, 16:00 to 17:00, E261, Engineering & Computing Sciences, Maureen Dillon

Maureen Dillon is the former historic lighting advisor to the National Trust. This visit to Durham follows up her very successful demonstration of historic lighting in the Castle’s Norman Chapel last year. Discussions, including this research conversation, will identify opportunities for collaboration between Maureen and current Durham researchers on subjects ranging from Durham University’s own historic properties, through the social history of lighting and its relevance to present energy issues, to the history of the electricity supply industry in the north east of England. All interested DEI researchers are very welcome.
