Workshop: Parliament for researchers, delivered at Durham University by the House of Parliament’s Outreach Service

Monday 24 February, 1.45 – 3.15pm in Room CG91 (Chemistry department).

All are invited to attend a workshop delivered by the Houses of Parliament’s Outreach Service, ‘Parliament for Researchers’

The workshop will demonstrate how you can feed your research into Parliament’s work, and get it to the attention of MPs and Members of the House of Lords.

The workshop will give a number of practical insights into Parliament’s work, and cover:

  • Parliament’s work and role
  • The difference between Parliament and Government
  • The work of MPs
  • The work of the House of Lords
  • Parliamentary Select Committees
  • The House of Commons Library and Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology.
