Launch of Masters in Energy and Society

The DEI is hosting an informal event to celebrate the launch of Durham University's new Masters in Energy and Society.

The DEI is hosting an informal event to celebrate the launch of Durham University's new Masters in Energy and Society.

Displays will include DU’s world leading solar powered car and the DEI electric vehicle. Researchers and students from the Department of Anthropology, the Centre for Doctoral Training in Energy, Durham Energy Institute and Greenspace will be showcasing some of the energy related projects currently on-going within the University. The overseas aid agency Engineers without Borders and the Low Carbon Energy for Development Network will also be talking about why student action and volunteering can make such a difference.

You’ll also have the chance to see who can create the most energy in our “2 minute energy showdown” as well as help the University in its bid to secure £300,000 funding from the NUS Students Green Fund – Ideas Bank also now running on the DU Students Facebook Page

Prizes galore for the best attempts!

It’s your opportunity to come and find out about what energy projects are going on within the University, try out some of the activities and find out why this Masters should be the next step in your academic career.

So come along for a break from revision and find out what you could be doing this time next year!
