Former CDT student, Andrew Crossland, has developed a new iOS app that gives real time information about electricity in Great Britain. The App features:

  • LIVE generation volumes from different electricity sources
  • Estimated lifetime carbon dioxide / greenhouse gas emissions
  • Beginners guides to coal, nuclear, wind, gas, biomass, interconnectors, hydroelectricity and energy storage in Great Britain
Andrew describes the App: "My Grid GB comes from a philosophy of making information more accessible. It is a belief that people make better decisions with stronger data. Electricity generation is a mystery to many. This app allows you to know exactly where your energy is coming from at any given moment."
Further information is avaible from the My GridGB web pages.
